The Babylonian Lottery Ritual (9 Apr, 52 Anno Satanas)

“Mine is a dizzying country in which the Lottery is a major element of reality; until this day, I have thought as little about it as about the conduct of the indecipherable gods or of my heart. Now, far from Babylon and its beloved customs, I think with some bewilderment about the Lottery, and about the blasphemous conjectures that shrouded men whisper in the half-light of dawn or evening.”
Our fifth major social event was in Deep Ellum, Dallas on 9 April (Palm Sunday), in the year 52 Anno Satanas (2017 C.E.)! This was a fully-organized ritual, where people bid in the silent auction and purchased a chance to participate in the sacred rite of the Babylonian Lottery, buying an opportunity to gain wealth and blessings beyond your wildest dreams… or be laid down as a human sacrifice at the end of the evening!

The purpose of this evening of fun, theater and antics is to raise money for the Protect Children Project: a national campaign by The Satanic Temple to fight corporal punishment in schools, by allowing children to claim an exemption from beatings on religious grounds.

The exact location and more details will be revealed in the Friends of TST Dallas Facebook Group.

Post-Event Update!

We are proud to announce that we raised over $700 for the Protect Children Project during our Babylonian Lottery ritual fundraiser. This is a wonderful success especially considering how new our chapter is. We wish to extend our deepest gratitude to those who donated not only money, but their time, resources, and artwork to benefit this incredibly important cause. Thank you to all who attended.
